Birmingham roller is most common breed of tumblers in the world. His native land is England(Birmingham). Birmingham roller is carying all over the World (Europe, America, Africa, Asia,Australia...) Growers of this breed are members of their home clubs and world asociations like World Cup Fly..
First appearance in Ex Yugoslavia is 1980, when they was imported from Germany by Miodrag Vojnovic and Vukasin Pejcic from famous grower Fritz Leibold.

Birmingham roller is selected and arised to be the best sport's tumbler flight pigeon. He can fly a couple hours. Birmingham roller have to roll very fast in series from 3 to 10-20 meters. Birmingham roller have to roll exclusively over his tail very fast and explosive in big series. Looking from ground it seems like a "o" plumage ball in the air. Rolling is so fast that you can't recognise figure of the pigeon. Rolling have to be more frequent, nice, pure, explosive and straight as an arrow. There are two type of competitions, first with 3 pigeons in flock and with 20 pigeons in flock. At least 5 of 20 pigeons must rolling for get points in flock flight about 5 meters. There are extra points for 20 pigeons flock flight for quality and depth.
They are very attractive in flight and good for work with moving flying cage.
Brirmingham roller is the best roller pigeon in the world.
At the moment the best world grower of this kind of breed is Heine Bijker from Holland.
